So here's the scoop: I've got more than $7,000 just in parts into this truck, a lot of which are original. That doesn't even begin to include the countless hours of labor put into it. (You will see from starting pics to present) However, this project has me tapped out, so I'm just trying to recover some of my investment. It won't take much more to get this truck running and driving. The blunt of the hard work has already been accomplished. Wiring harness kit is in place, and electrical is ready to be hooked up.
What we have here is a rare body design 1954 Vintage Chevy Pickup truck. This makes the truck all the more special and unique. We've put in a nice 350 Chevy engine and 350 Transmission. New radiator and fan with new hoses. Mickey Thompson headers, Edelbrock, & more. Nice new shift kit. New upholstery kit installed. New gas tank. Rare, hard to find Chevy hood ornament and window visor. New headlights & new, vintage cadillac bullet lights in rear. New low profile tires on front, staggered to larger tires on the rear with a set of four Moto Metal rims ($1,200) that really make this truck stand out. New battery & shocks. This truck will make a beautiful, vintage, personal ride or a valuable resale collectible.
Potential buyer may want to continue on with a full restoration. I've seen full restoration of this year, make, & model go for $50,000 & up on Ebay and elsewhere. Bottom line is there is a LOT of potential money to be made with this rare truck. I'm happy to see it go to someone who will really appreciate it's value. Clean Colorado title in hand.
